New Release

After a long day of treating the market like an ATM machine, counting money, blogging, and writing fortune telling doctrine for Forbes; I am going to spend the rest of the day relaxing with my thoughts.

Before I leave, I should let you know that I updated the "Trading Videos" tab with a new video titled "Drawing Trendlines."

Pull up a Monster Java and click here to view.

As Rick James would say...Enjoy yourself.

I finally can buy java monster - it's come to Wisconsin, it's even in the Sam's Club and Walmart. It will be interesting to see how their earnings turn out after dissappointing so terrible the last time.

Don't have alot of trading discussion, not good enough yet, but I wanted to let you know that the big drop didn't phase me. I was 80% puts on stocks that just went sideways in the up market last week, Many off your watchlists since November. Sold my calls that weren't moving with the market move up, rearranged a few things. Made money on the huge move down, I've not been able to do that before. So I'm moving along. Thanks OA! Thanks for the video.

I'm just curious if anyone has any insight on the 1.1 million share transaction after-hours on DBA. Does a massive purchase like that usually signal a bullish trend short-term, big money buying in? Or.. "It is what it is". It piqued my interest especially when the avg. volume is only ~2 million.

Thanks

Buffet warns that the dollar could be worthless in a couple of years. This should give gold a boost.

Jeff,

Great video, it also made me realize I should be going back in the video archives to watch any gems I may have forgotten about.

One thing I've always had problems with is if you treat trend lines as an area, instead of a line, then it makes it hard to know when it has really been violated and you should sell.
Let's say your trend line could be anywhere in between a $1 range, and if it's violated you sell. But in terms of the option pricing, there's a huge difference if you sell at the top of your support area or the bottom.
How do you deal with this?

Thanks

Anybody else still waiting on HaNS. I used the line chart and liked the high volume down day 1/30.Up a little to date, hoping for a 10 pt move down but after watching trendline video there could be too much "space" back around 12/18 and 1/7?

Wadya think?

Top Ten Reasons for Why I Don't Post During Trading Hours

10. Wireless Broadband card connection's too slow.
9. Work
8. Not enough bandwidth to load the blog when it has multiple charts of symbols I never knew existed.
7. MSFT Windows ME
6. Not enough bandwidth to load music videos of bands I never heard of.
5. Work
4. 128kb Ram is not enough mem to run TOS and blog.
3. I am on hold on the coaching line,
2. Too busy looking for the clean cups pattern that is apparently seen on charts almost every day.

and the number one reason why I don't post during trading hours....

1. My Rules don't allow it!

Jeff,
Great site, don't sell out... you're more of a "rock star" than Russell Crowe... and definitely a better trader. Thanks for all of your wisdom! Mike

Jeff,
Awesome video and boy oh boy, were you a busy little beaver yesterday. I spent the day in Mexico City (24 million of them say "Ola!!" and don't know how I'll get caught up but I will simply say... If you sell out I will seek you out, find you, and kick you in the knee caps. And I'll bring my pointy stick. I have traded through this whacked market thanks to you and all the OAs and am in better shape than I have ever been. My gratitude knows no bounds. Although I won't go as far as Raimo did yesterday. That was just wrong.

X looks to be breaking out of it's triangle although volume is really slugish.

I just got in from a Mexico red-eye and my eyes are... red. So I'm off to bed. Look after my DBA and PCU while I rest my peepers.
