At the Tiffin Motorhome Rally "old Tuson Studios", AZ. Today, I took a break due to the Fed announcement & did a few trades. Here's the outcome (& if someone can tell me, how to print a living proof off TOS of this number for the non-belivers - tell me - proud as a peacock to share). Oh, Tiffin Motorhomes is up 17% ytd in sales -- pretty impressive - while the rest of the RV Industry is down. Why, baby boomers are spending money on big stuff.

Today for me -- up $42,453.90 - my second or third best day ever. Now, back to visiting motorhomers.

Hey all,
Just a quick post as I'm in the Virginia mountains ducking toothless people with shotguns and listening for Banjo music.

I picked up some DBA yesterday as it had hit my REE after having given me a bajillion percent profit on it's last runnup (although nothing like Jeff's healthcare triumph of today.) I'm sure glad I did because I made 1850 profit on that one and lost 1750 on XL which I should was going to take profits on yesterday but we were out shootin vermints and scraping us up a mess of roadkill stew. All in all a good day.

Congrats Jeff on an incredible run. I haven't been able to be around enough to make the most of it, but it's been a good few weeks, all in all.

Now it's back to the bush. I bought Catherine a bright pink running top so Raimo doesn't mistake her for a Gazelle. Or me for a lumbering Ox. But Speedos don't come in bright pink, strangely enough. Catherine suggested the camo thong. But them Ozark Mountain Daredevils are not to be trusted.

Good luck the rest of the week.

Chris.

Damn Jeff,

2 Clean cups calls in one day.

All-mixed up certainly IS the best choice today.

I'm a film and television editor.

F2T, wow! Would you like to adopt me?

Jodi, did you take FSLR? I don't see a trade there yet. I see higher lows and lower highs, the making of a monster symm triangle. I assume you're looking for a downward break?

Tue, March 11, 2008 at 02:45PM | Unregistered CommenterDoji Girl

Ctr print screen - I'm trying, does not seem to work right. I am on an HP Pavilion dv9535 Notebook PC and the 'home button' has a box with prt sc.

F2T,

Your success is both amazing in scary! If you profited that much in one day I am guessing you take some pretty big losses as well. Either way, congrats!

Jeff,

re: using sector indices to guage the market.

Fantastic. That's what I thought. I know you've mentioned many of them throughout your millions of posts, but do you have ONE post where you list all the sector indices you watch daily to gauge price patterns? (OIX, PPH, SOX, S&P, transports, etc.)? It seems many of the indices are leading indicators of overall price action for individual stocks (ie. a top-down approach).

cheers!

F2T, you might need to hit shift then print screen. Then open up word and paste it. You should then be able to save it as an image from there.

Free2Trade,

Fantastic result today!

What are you up/down for the year? Do you find your results to be as volatile as the markets?

Tue, March 11, 2008 at 03:01PM | Unregistered CommenterSausalitoMike

Berk-

Just taking advantage of you on a strange day.

No problem. I started shorting some gains about 2:00. Had to back off of about 1/2 of them.

Is this just a blip? I think so, but I do not know. Tommorow will be higher, but the close.....ah!
That may not be so pretty for the bulls. The lack of volume is indicative of a lot of sideline money/passivity.

The news is still not good yet. I paid a lot of attention to Jeff's constant reminders of "the biggest rallies...etc.." and kind of bought my way down yesterday on some positions. I got lucky. I got rid of few today at close, and bought some puts against some others.

Just a crazy day. Thought I would screw with you.

F2T ... go dude! Those are some darn nice numbers for one days work .... I've been watching you and am not surprised at your progress ....

Trust me ... the day I have those kinds of numbers ... I'll scream it too! I'm not far behind you .... :)

Congrats again!

Jeff,
I have the DJX bouncing off the same diagonal trendline it bounced off of in '04, '05, '06 and in January (22/23) of this year. Am I drawing wrong? Shouldn't this be a really strong support line?

Tue, March 11, 2008 at 03:43PM | Unregistered CommenterJames H.

Doji

I did take FSLR, my exit is 200 - got in around 198 or so. I took it on the retest of that small gap and the psychological number. It has been pretty strong S/R line.....
We'll see.....

Tue, March 11, 2008 at 03:50PM | Unregistered CommenterJodi

Jodi, (what gap??) it's up a bit probably in sympathy with JASO's good earnings. You do have a strong line of resistance just above 200.

Tue, March 11, 2008 at 03:53PM | Unregistered CommenterDoji Girl

JODI?

Tue, March 11, 2008 at 03:59PM | Unregistered CommenterRaimo

Ok you're right, it filled the gap coming down yesterday and the day before. No gap, my bad.

Tue, March 11, 2008 at 03:59PM | Unregistered CommenterJodi

I added some energy at the close...

anyone else?

Specifically, XTO.

I was looking at the volume data from google finance, which has changed since the market closed so forget I asked. I still dont trust this rally and look to short something.

Tue, March 11, 2008 at 04:11PM | Unregistered CommenterJeremiah

F2T- Congrats- you can also go into your TOS Accounts tab, down to Profits and Losses and hit the print icon in the top right hand corner. I haven't had that big of a day since last year. Investools shot an infomercial with me and a bunch of other subscribers (Cody was there) and one of the items I provided them was proof that I made more in one day than I did at my previous job in a year. Since January I've cut my position sizes way back and I've recently been doing more conservative spread trades. I don't have the big numbers to show but I always get something and I don't have big losses either. Even though we've been in a bear market my timing has been off trying to ride trends that quickly make U-turns. Jeff said it wasn't easy trading in a bear market and he wasn't kidding. Congratulations again and keep up the good work!

Hi,

@ this motorhome rally in Tucson but for what ever, I keep coming back to look at my TOS again.

What am I up this yr? 9.42% - so, I not knocking the cover off the ball -n just making baby steps. 2nd, my biggest loss ever was $32K that happened last Aug when I did not think the market would break the 50 dma. My second worst day was 1987 when a stupid fund manager took me out in one day. I know that becuz, it's posted on my computer. 3rd, I have a fair portfolio so in perspective, I should have done this today. 4th, everything I did today was in whole stock purchases. And, most were triggered entry's , & group exit's on PUTs. LM self distructed this morning, as goog, & wynn. GS is my big winner today, along with X, BIDU , RIMM, DRYS, SPY, AAPL & QQQQ - & funny I am the proud owner of SWIM @ $10

I had alerts set in my phone and the messages were coming in so fast that I was in a daze.

So in all the excitment, the numbers are big but the percentage is just OK.
