Unchanged?

With all the things going on today, I am surprised to see the market unchanged.

The banks are blazin' today off Bank of Americas better than expected results and forecast. I think this is where the survivors will start to emerge from the banks/financials, leaving the competitors destined for a slow death.

The DNA bid this morning organically lifted shares of BIIB. Hopefully a few have you have tailed me on this one. I am going to take profits, but leave half the position on over earnings.

After the bell, Apple reports earnings. Jobs typically gives soft estimates, so either way I like this trade. I have a small position I am taking into the announcement, but only an amount I would throw away.

Another important consideration is the Casino upgrades that went out today. You'll notice on this weeks watchlist, I substituted LVS and PENN instead of WYNN. I am going to wait for this rally to fade before buying into some puts. An upgrade won't put more patrons at the tables.

Watch some of the re-tests from last week, such as CRK, CPX, PVA, HERO, and any others for good entry points.

I am going to spend more time looking around, but so far no commitment from crude, dollar, or the market averages. I still think we'll see some good downside this week.
