You've Been Fertilized!

Did you sell your agriculture trades today for 300% returns? I did! Well, some of them anyway.

I only write this in response to my push on Agriculture stocksover 2 weeks ago. The Ag stocks were on fire, and my calls in MOS are swelling. I took a little off today, but I love how these stocks were up all day, and went out at their highs on big volume.

If you tapped these stocks a few weeks back, nicely done. If you didn't...my pitch on copper stocks looks good today, and I've been long PCU since posting my take on them a couple weeks ago. Do yourself a favor and buy that breakout.

My theme on REITS is still looking good. The IYR posted another gain today, while financials dicked around doing nothing. Since I'm starting to focus more on small caps, you ought to pay attention to SHO, YSE, PEI, andCSA from that space.

Speaking of small caps, I mentioned on Monday that the relative strength in small caps has bottomed. I am pretty close to seeing a confirmation of that trend as it reverses.

Normally, on a day where the S&P fails to breakout in the manner in which it did, I'd be a little miffed holding as many long positions as I am holding, thinking that we'll see a long drawn out move towards the lower end of this recent range. However, as it stands, I am feeling pretty good about the current underneath the surface, and like the chances of new highs across the indices. I might be sippin' syrup, but I think we go higher. Not a tough call to make by any stretch.

I'm going to do more analysis on small caps tomorrow. See you then.

PS- For those that attended my Las Vegas conference last year, I was just e-mailed a link to it earlier today. This is the first I've seen of it. If you want a 45 minute presentation on price patterns, bookmark THIS LINK. There are multiple segments in which you will manually need to click in order to see the full deal. Enjoy.

I used to lurk here a long time ago when it was crazy trafficked. Glad to see it's coming back, hope it regains its old stature. You think this pullback is the right time to buy PCU?

El Guapo,

Don't feel bad...I sold my puts in MET and KRE at the mornings highs when it looked like they were breaking out.

What a jackass I proved to be.

I've got nothing to say til tomorrow morning. See you then.
