Hello,

My name is Jeff Kohler, a.k.a the Option Addict. Welcome to my World.

I have been trading in the equity, equity options, and futures market since 1997. In 1998 I became a licensed broker for Morgan Stanley, DW Inc. I spent 5 years there learning the inner workings of the market and developing my trading style. It was a long, worthless process and I am very bitter over it, so don't ask me dsc00420.jpgabout it.

In 2003 I left Morgan Stanley to become an Instructor with Investools, (SWIM). I spend my time as a Content Developer, as an Instructor on various platforms, and creating and producing the Marketcast, which you can access at iTunes.

I started my original blog in 2005, and it's popularity has grown exponentially. What makes me unique in the Financial Services/Education industry is my trading style, age and personality. My trading style is a powerful blend of stock, options, and futures trading, at a very aggressive level. If you have read through it's contents you will see that my approach is very off color, and my objectives are fairly clear. They are...

  • To share with the world an amazing track record in the financial markets. If I were not able to make huge strides in the market, this site wouldn't be very fun to read, would it?
  • To teach the masses that anyone can become a successful trader. If you can apply the methods I teach, which are developing a consistent approach, picking good stocks, managing risk, diversifying your funds, and proper position sizing, you'll realize that trading is not as complicated as you thought.
  • To harvest a community of profit oriented traders and give them the opportunity to share ideas with likeminded individuals.

In return for my documented processes of making money, and services to traders across the world, all I ask is...

  • trader_logo.gifRespect your fellow traders, with only minor exceptions.
  • Respect my authority, no exceptions.
  • If you are going to contribute, please make sure you are a credible source. Since many readers are still young in their career, giving reckless contributions is more of a hindrance than a commodity.

To get started, feel free to browse through my archives, search for a topic to read up on, or join in a conversation within the community. Most importantly, start making money!
